THE FACTORY
Creator: Chris Muller (C.MULLER)
Difficulty: STAR level
Introduction: I recently reached STAR level with my squad leader and
have noticed that there is a real lack of scenarios for this level.
Therefore, I decided I would write one myself. I play-tested it as
much as I could, however I'm sure it's still got a problem or two. If
you should happen to find any problems with this scenario or have any
comments good or bad feel free to send me email (C.MULLER). Also if
you are having trouble finishing this game I'll be glad to help you out
with any area of the scenario you find to be especially challenging.
All comments will be considered and will help me write scenarios as
good as or better than this one in the future.
Briefing: Federated Worlds Intelligence has gotten reports that Other
World Exports has been sending weaponry and battle robots to the UDP
disguised as computer and machine parts. We will be landing you and one
of our best crack squad marines just west of the main entrance. The
groud floor is unguarded in an attempt to keep the appearance of a
legitimate business. However an ID and a pre-arranged appointment is
necessary to enter the building. The power doors are programmed to open
only when the proper ID is inserted. This is necessary due to the many
hostile aliens which occuppy the area. You must enter the building and
obtain any evidence of the weapons and robot shipments. Also we have
heard rumors of Other World Exports hiring a small mercenary force to
harrass traders and pilots who don't do business with them. Any evidence
proving the existence of this force would also be helpful. Be sure to
get ALL necessary information, and be warned that some off-limits areas
on the first floor and all levels above the first are reported to be
heavily guarded. We recommend that you use stealth and well-planned
movement to avoid attracting attention allowing you to eliminate guards
one at a time and to avoid being hit by heavier weaponry such as
grenades and rockets. Remember to use your crack unit to get the enemy
floor plans and try not to let your fellow team member take direct
blaster fire as he can not withstand it as well as you can. Save your
grenades and any rockets you may find for heavy groups of mercenaries
or battle robots. When you have retreived all the evidence required
make your way to the roof where a shuttle and crew will be waiting.
Good Luck.
